Brookfield Engineering Science Technology or B.E.S.T. Academy is a tuition-free, 3-12 public charter school. Enrollment for the 2021-22 school is currently open for new students. Students must be in grades 3rd-12th and provide proof of residency within one of the following counties:

  • San Diego

  • Orange

  • Riverside

  • Imperial 

Students cannot be enrolled at any other public or private school to enroll at B.E.S.T. Academy.

Online Enrollment Process

To start the online enrollment process, scroll down and click the orange school enrollment interest form button to create your online account. 

After completing the enrollment interest form, you can begin the online enrollment process. To enroll, you will need the following documents:

  • Immunization records

  • Parent/guardian proof of residency

  • Copy of birth certificate or passport

Additional documents you will need for enrollment as applicable:

  • Custody paperwork

  • Suspension and expulsion

  • First grade health and dental form

  • Transcript (high school only)

  • Caregiver affidavit

  • Shared residence affidavit

Once enrolled, you may be asked to provide a current copy of an IEP, 504, or healthcare plan as applicable. If your student has an IEP, 504, or healthcare plan, you may need to contact a counselor to provide a copy of the most current document.  

Online Enrollment Complaint Procedure

Pursuant to Education Code (EC) Section 47605(d)(4), charter schools are not allowed to discourage a pupil from enrolling or seeking to enroll in a charter school because the pupil exhibits any characteristics such as students with disabilities, academically low-achieving, English learners, neglected or delinquent, homeless, socially economically disadvantaged, foster youth, or based on nationality, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

Also pursuant to this new law, a parent, guardian, or student who is 18 years or older may file a Charter School Complaint Form to the Charter School’s authorizing entity if they suspect the charter school is in violation of Education Code (EC) Section 47605(d)(4).
