B.E.S.T. Academy offers personalized counseling and academic coaching combined with individualized support for social and emotional learning. We believe social emotional learning is a top-tier priority for student success and go far beyond the basics of a character education program. Evidence-based social-emotional learning combined with personalized guidance and academic coaching support connects teachers, families, and counselors with students by building rapport through a strength-based approach. We take pride in building strong relationships with families and provide personalized guidance and academic coaching support in building college and career pathways for students.

COVID-19 Updates & Resources

B.E.S.T. Academy will continue to operate throughout the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation. Enrollment for both the BEST Academy Summer Session and 2020-2021 school year will remain open with flexible online learning and customized curriculum options. Students will continue coursework in their college and career pathways as usual, with the personalized support of online teachers, counselors, and support staff. Field trips and in-person events are temporarily on hold while restrictions are in place and students enrolled in athletic programs who typically meet in-person for training, have transitioned to virtual meetings until further notice. 24-7 Personalized Online Tutoring Support

We believe all students want to succeed, and our partnership with The Princeton Review (tutor.com) offers students on-demand academic coaching and tutoring support. Tutors connect with students to offer individualized learning through one-to-one engagements with subject matter experts. Tutors provide homework help, preparation for exams, and skill building in more than 40 subjects including math, reading, science and social studies for grades 4-12. Academic coaching is available where students need it, at home on a computer or on a mobile device. Academic coaches and tutors ensure students have equal access to targeted learning and teachers receive the data necessary to make informed decisions about ongoing instruction and support.

BEST Academy College Pathways

Students at B.E.S.T. Academy have access to an array of "A-G" approved curriculum that will prepare them to meet admissions requirements for the University of California, and the California State University Systems. Not interested in attending a UC or CSU system? Our counselors are prepared to guide and support a variety of college pathways and offer tuition-free dual-enrollment college-level course to enrolled B.E.S.T. Academy students.
