Daniel Crook

Daniel Crook has worked in education for over 20 years and brings a wide range of experience to his role as Director of Curriculum and Data Strategy at BEST Academy. During his career, he has worked as a math teacher, resource teacher, Title I Coordinator, school administrator, and data coach. In every position, he has stayed focused on helping students succeed by using data, improving instruction, and supporting teachers.

Daniel earned his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and his Master's degree in Education from UC San Diego. He believes in the power of learning and continues to grow as an educator. Daniel lives in San Diego County with his family. He is a proud and active father of two sons—one who plays on a baseball team and another who competes with his school’s Academic League. He enjoys being involved in their school and activities.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys traveling to new places, snowboarding in the mountains, SCUBA diving in the ocean, and cooking meals at home. He values spending time with his family and believes that having a healthy balance between work and personal life makes him a better educator. Daniel is proud to be part of the BEST Academy team and is committed to helping students and staff reach their highest potential.
